- Essential Baby Product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know what I'd do without this breast
pump. I am devoted to keeping my baby on breast
milk and for as long as I can and having this
pump has made it very easy.
It is quick and easy to use and as a full-time
working mom that is exactly what I need.
I pump 2-3 times a day and it takes me only
10 minutes for both breasts each pumping
session.
One hint though, who ever gets this pump
********MUST******* get the Medela Hands-Free
Pumping Kit. You have to buy a Medela bra
though, which is no problem. What it does
is that you can attach the pumps to your
Medela bra using the kit. Then your hands
are free to do whatever. It has been so
liberating. Its really great cause I just
sit and read a magazine while I pump. Actually
I'm even writing this review while pumping!!!
I have fed my baby off of one breast while
I have the other one attached to a pump.
I have the Medela vehicle adaptor and several
times I've even driven while pumping! (Of
course please be careful though. )
...
I got the Advent Isis pump just for quick
use and for travel, but it is not even close
in ease as my Medela is. If I had any advice
for a mom planning on going back to work,
you MUST get a double pump, my vote is for
the Medela Pump in Style and if you do choose
the Medela PIS get the hands free attachment
kit. You won't regret your purchase!!

- Worth every penny!
While I was pregnant I did a lot of research
before buying a breast pump. I had both read
and heard that it was not even worth the effort
to buy a manual or a "mini-electric" pump
so I pretty much ruled those types out. This
pump in particular always seemed to be very
highly recommended. I initially cringed at
the thought of spending so much money on a
breast pump, especially when I planned on
being a stay-at-home mom and wasn't sure really
how much I would be using it. I even went
to the store 3 times before my daughter was
born, each time intending to buy it but always
talked myself out of it and left empty-handed.
Then, when my daughter was born and it became
apparent that we were going to have problems
breast-feeding I sent my husband out to buy
this before I even left the hospital. Unfortunately
my daughter and I were never able to sucessfully
breastfeed. However, because I had this pump
my daughter was able to have breast milk for
a year. This pump made it through double pumping
6 times a day for 6 months, then 3 times a
day for 2, then once a day for one more month.
I was able save and freeze enough so that
she continued to receive breast milk once
a day until she turned one. That is a lot
of pumping for one pump to do and I never
would have made it with any other pump. A
less-durable mini-electric pump likely would
have given out after a month or so of such
frequent use. A manual pump would have significantly
increased the time spent on something that
could already, in the best of circumstances,
be very time consuming to begin with. The
only pump that may have worked better would
have been a hospital-grade rental and the
expense of that would have far surpassed the
money spent on this. We also added up the
money we spent on this pump versus the money
we would have spent on formula and discovered
we came out way ahead! Plus my daughter got
my own breast milk! I even took it on the
road with me when we went on vacation ( I
bought the optional adaptor and plugged it
into the car cigarette lighter). The addition
of the battery pack only makes it more appealing.
My sister bought a manual pump and gave up
after only 2 weeks of pumping once a day.
I would definitely recommend this pump. If
you can possibly swing it financially you
won't be sorry.

- Time saver and a must for working moms!
This pump is awesome. The number one reason
I love it versus a manual or single sided
electric is the time it takes. Set up, pumping
and clean up takes a max of 15-20 minutes
once you get used to it. I gives me more time
to spend with the baby, is much quicker to
do, and because it was so quick I did it more
frequently...now I have an amazing milk supply.
Not only do I produce 5.5 - 10 ounces in 15
minutes, but I have over 150 ounces saved
up in my freezer. For those of you planning
to return to work...I highly recommend it.
It is an investment but well worth it. Even
if you spend the nearly 300 dollars, what
you save in either formula or rental fees
(when I checked out renting, it would have
been about 200 dollars for 3 months!) Great
pump, and I have co-worker friends who definitely
agree!
